Status Update (March 2020)

Updated: Nov 14, 2020

After weeks upon weeks of family hell—followed by a sanity vacation in frosty Alberta, Canada—I am back at home and ready to work again.

Light Novels

Kokoro Connect (J-Novel Club):

Translation of Volume 9 has resumed! It's another 10-parter on the JNC website, so I'm about 20% of the way through it. KoCo was the series I missed the most while I was gone, and I'm happy to be reunited with it ; v ;

I Refuse to Be Your Enemy! (J-Novel Club):

Volume 1 is now available for purchase here (and other ebook retailers)!

Due to a combination of extenuating circumstances, I will not be working on further volumes of this series. Apologies to those who were looking forward to it, and best of luck to whoever takes over!

Adachi and Shimamura (Seven Seas):

Volume 1 is available for preorder (physical ver) (releases on June 2nd) AND they finally confirmed an early release digital version is happening on April 16th! Looking forward to everyone's reactions! So far away still ; v ;

Volume 2 is also available for preorder (phys ver). Releases August 11th.

Volume 3 is also available for preorder (phys ver)! Releases November 10th! As for translation progress, it's stalled at 50%... for one very good reason:

Yes, No, or Maybe (Seven Seas):

YEAH LOL THEY GAVE ME A SECOND SERIES and it's BL so how could I possibly say no?! Anyway they asked me to prioritize this one—I'm guessing it has to do with the timing of the upcoming anime?—so I'll be working on it through mid-March and then I can go back to AdaShima. Rated "Older Teen"... They uh... do they know that there's porn in this book? Did... did they read this book? Phys version already available for preorder; releases October 6th. I'm hoping they adjust the marketing copy once I submit the translation, because I wasn't consulted on it, and it's... not strictly accurate. lol

Games

I... I think I'm starting work on something this month? I think??? I will keep you posted.

Right when I thought I was going to go down to two books for a while, I got a third again, lol. The good news is that I'm only working on two at any given time. You'd think it'd be easier to work on just one book per day, but I actually tested it out recently and my productivity is worse when I only have the one book quota! I don't understand it, but hey.
